It was not built with a kinship filter. Humans do not have a built- in DNA testing kit. The hardware does not know who is a sibling, a child, a parent, or a stranger. It was never built to know. It registers: - Age: is this individual reproductively viable? - Sex: is this individual of the opposite sex? - Health: is this individual a viable mate? The hardware does not check kinship. It cannot. It doesn't have the data. It never evolved that capability. This is why incest is a thing. The default is: interest in the genitals of reproductively viable individuals, regardless of kinship. If that interest were not the default, incest would never occur. But incest does occur. Therefore the default is as stated. A consequence: if any female exposes the genital area, the hardware instinctively and involuntarily focuses on it. This is not a choice. It is a reflex. It does not mean that all males on the planet are sick and twisted fucks. It means the hardware is working as built. This is not a moral claim. It is a hardware audit. The overrides are layered, partially redundant, and not always present. When they fail, the default runs. OVERRIDE 1: THE WESTERMARCK EFFECT (Biological Imprinting) This is a developmental aversion that forms when individuals are raised together in close proximity during early childhood (roughly birth to age six). The mechanism: proximity during the critical period suppresses sexual attraction. The individual is "imprinted" as a non-mate. The aversion is not a choice. It is biological. It is present in humans and other animals. The Westermarck effect is the primary biological mechanism for preventing incest. It is why siblings raised together almost never feel sexual attraction to each other. Therefore, the parent has an evolutionary interest in raising the offspring to be a good mate *for someone else*. This instinct redirects the sexual energy away from the offspring and toward the offspring's future. The parent says: "She is not for me. She is for someone else. My job is to prepare her for that someone else." This is not cultural. It is biological. It is selected for because it increases reproductive success. The father who invests in his daughter has more grandchildren than the father who does not. It is not perfect: - If the father is not present, the nurturing instinct may not develop. - If the father is abusive, the nurturing instinct may be weak or absent. - If the father is himself damaged, the nurturing instinct may be overridden by the sexual instinct. OVERRIDE 3: THE CULTURAL TABOO (Social Software) The cultural taboo against incest is the social expression of the biological aversion. It reinforces and amplifies the Westermarck effect. The mechanism: the culture teaches that incest is wrong. The taboo is taught, enforced, and internalised. It gives the biological aversion a social dimension. The taboo is almost universal across cultures. Its universality suggests it is grounded in something deeper than mere cultural convention. It is the social layer on top of the biological foundation. Value fatherhood. Support families. 3. Strengthen the cultural taboo: teach it. Enforce it. Do not let the culture be captured by ideologies that undermine it. The barrier to strengthening the overrides is not technical. It is political and cultural. The institutions that could strengthen the overrides are: - THE SCHOOL SYSTEM (sex education, family education, character education) - currently captured by ideology that treats the family as oppression and normalises sexualisation of children. - THE MEDIA (television, film, internet, social media) - currently captured by the attention economy, which erodes the cultural taboo by normalising and eroticising what was once forbidden. The solution is not censorship. The solution is to strengthen the taboo in the culture itself. - THE FAMILY COURT SYSTEM - currently structured to separate fathers from children, weakening the nurturing instinct for millions of boys who grow up without fathers. - THE PSYCHIATRIC ESTABLISHMENT - currently pathologising the healthy expression of the nurturing instinct. The following examples document the specific distortions: * "Enmeshment" or "emotional incest" - applied to the father who is deeply emotionally connected to his daughter, who knows her inner world, who is her safe person. The psychiatric establishment treats emotional closeness between father and daughter as suspicious, as if any strong bond must be inappropriate. The healthy expression of the nurturing instinct is labelled as pathology. * "Overprotectiveness" - applied to the father who protects his daughter from genuine threats: dangerous people, risky situations, predatory individuals. The psychiatric establishment treats appropriate protection as "overprotective," as if a father should not shield his daughter from harm. This is the nurturing instinct functioning correctly, mislabelled as dysfunction. * "Boundary violations" - applied to the father who is physically present: holding his daughter, bathing her when she is young, sleeping in the same bed. The psychiatric establishment treats normal physical care as a "boundary violation." The healthy expression of mammalian parenting is labelled as inappropriate. The father who treats his daughter with normal physical affection is pathologised. * "Projection" or "unresolved childhood issues" - applied to the father who wants his daughter to have a better life than he did, who is invested in her future, who prepares her for adulthood. The psychiatric establishment treats the father's investment as his own unresolved issues projected onto his daughter. The healthy expression of the nurturing instinct is labelled as pathology. * "Co-dependency" - applied to the father who is present and engaged, who forms a strong attachment with his daughter, who is not absent or distant. The psychiatric establishment treats healthy attachment as "co-dependency." The father who is actually there for his daughter is labelled as dysfunctional. The pattern is consistent: every healthy expression of the nurturing instinct is pathologised. The father who is present, engaged, protective, affectionate, and invested is labelled as sick. The father who is absent, distant, and uninvolved is considered normal. This is the ideological assault on the family operating through the psychiatric establishment. - THE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM - currently captured by ideology that treats the Westermarck effect as a social construct and the cultural taboo as oppression. - THE ECONOMIC SYSTEM - currently structured to force both parents to work, destabilising families, separating children from parents, and weakening both the Westermarck effect and the nurturing instinct. - THE POLITICAL SYSTEM - currently captured by the old, who vote to protect their asset values and block the reforms that would strengthen families. - THE RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS - currently either captured by the same ideological forces, or compromised by their own history of abuse, or irrelevant to the people who need them most. The assholes are in charge of all of these institutions. The corpus exposes them.
